2025 Conference on Violent Crime

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), in partnership with the Virginia State Police, the Virginia Department of Corrections, the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, and the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, is pleased to announce the 2025 Conference on Violent Crime. This two-and-a-half-day event will be held in Blacksburg, Virginia, May 28-30, 2025. The conference will focus on topics directly related to trends and strategies used in efforts to reduce violent crime in the Commonwealth. This year’s conference will feature a combination of keynote and workshop presentations from local and national speakers on various topics, including examining violent crime incidents and trends, targeted violence, gang identification and suppression, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
