About me
Michael J. Coker is a seasoned leader and educator with over twenty years of experience at the Portsmouth Police Department. He specializes in training professionals in leadership and domestic violence investigation strategies.
Michael is currently a Field Services Coordinator for the Department of Criminal Justice Services Hampton Roads Region. He holds B.S. and M.A. degrees in criminal justice from Bethel University and has testified as an expert witness in domestic abuse cases.
He has led various units, including Homicide and Domestic Violence/Sex Crimes, and frequently lectures at FBI National Academy Alumni Association Conferences and Homicide Conferences.
