About me
Detective Michael Kiniry has been with Richmond City Police Department for 18 years and has been investigating gangs for over 9 years and over 600 hours in basic and advanced gang training. He is a Board Member with the Virginia Gang Investigators Association. During this time, Detective Kiniry has participated in criminal street gang investigations at the state and federal level and has been recognized in multiple jurisdictions as an expert in firearms, narcotics, and gang investigations. He has presented for multiple jurisdictions, the Virginia Attorney General’s Office, the Virginia Gang Investigators Association, the Commonwealth Attorney Council Gang Busters Conference, and police academies. Detective Kiniry received the Gang Investigator of the Year award in 2022 from the Virginia Gang Investigators Association and the Silver Star from the Henrico Police Department for the 30 Boyz Gang Case.
